Leica Online Store NZ Repair Service Policy

To preserve the value of your Leica product all repairs and servicing is handled by Leica's own technicians. If you have a Leica product you'd like to have serviced or repaired, please complete the Contact Us form online Contact Us. Once you've logged a case with us, we'll need you to return your Leica product to us at Leica Online Store NZ, details on how to return your equipment will be sent to you via email. We will then forward your Leica product onto one of Leica's service centres, cameras and lenses to Germany and Sport Optics to Portugal. Please note that the service/repair process can take several months to complete.

 

Warranty Service

All warranty repairs must include a copy of the original proof of purchase or valid completed warranty card. Any repair or service that is deemed to fall outside the Leica warranty policy (e.g. impact damage, operator error, improper use) will revert to a non-warranty service. Notification will be given if a warranty service reverts to a non-warranty service, at which point you will be notified of the estimated cost for repair, repair will only commence once you have provided acceptance of the estimation.

*A Minimum Service Fee of $150 NZD will apply to all non-warranty repairs.

 

Non-Warranty Service

A Minimum Service Fee of $150 NZD will apply to all non-warranty repairs. Payment of the service fee will need to be made before the product is returned to Leica service for assessment, once assessed you will be notified of the estimated cost for repair, repair will only commence once you have provided acceptance of the estimation.

 

Equipment

No responsibility will be accepted for any data (saved or unsaved) that is stored on any media device supplied or included with a camera for service. Please only supply accessories relating to the fault. Leica Online Store NZ is not responsible for any lost accessories.

 

Declining to accept items for Servicing

We retain the right to decline any item for service or repair if it is deemed to have met the following conditions.

  1. Where in our opinion the service charges would exceed the value, or replacement value of the item requiring servicing.
  2. Parts are no longer available
  3. If the item has not been purchased through Leica’s authorised dealer network

 

All servicing will only be accepted under our standard estimate policy or any warranty provision applicable. Where a repair charge remains unpaid for a period greater than (3) three months and/or contact with the owner or owner’s agent cannot be established, we reserve the right to dispose of any item to defray repair costs.
